Marvin Windows and Doors Enhances Design Continuity With Dark Sills and Weatherstripping Package
To achieve color continuity and maintain aesthetics, Marvin Windows and Doors, the premier manufacturer of made-to-order wood and clad wood windows and doors, now offers a new sill and weatherstripping package featuring darker hues.
The darker package includes a bronze-colored Ultrex® sill and black weatherstripping. The bronze coloring used throughout the Ultrex sill simulates a warm, traditional wood look. Beige remains the standard sill and weatherstripping package color for all swinging and sliding doors.
"The color scheme used on sills and weatherstripping needs to keep pace with the growing flexibility in clad colors and wood species," said Jeff Siverhus, product planner for Marvin. "The new dark sill and weatherstripping package complements darker color palettes such as bronze and ebony cladding, and hardwoods like Mahogany."
Along with providing continuity in color scheme, demand for the darker package is driven by regional trends, particularly in the Northern Rocky Mountains and the West, where dark sills and weatherstripping are preferred regardless of door color.
The dark sills and weatherstripping package will be available through Marvin's network of distributors and retailers in winter 2005.
