Integrity® Introduces All Ultrex® Window Series

Integrity® from Marvin Windows and Doors, which pioneered using state-of-the-art pultruded fiberglass in windows and doors for superior performance, now takes its signature Ultrex® material to the next level with the All Ultrex Series of windows.

The new All Ultrex Series, which features Ultrex on the window’s exterior and interior, is ideal for builders seeking low-maintenance, superior performance, quality and value. The line will be available as Single Hung operating and picture units, Polygon, and Transom windows in 2006, with a full line of All Ultrex products to follow.

“Since Integrity windows and doors hit the market more than 10 years ago, builders have seen first-hand the performance benefits of pultruded fiberglass,” said Brett Boyum, director of marketing for Integrity. “Builders consider Ultrex a value-competitive alternative to vinyl that offers superior durability and performance, and a more attractive appearance.”

Ultrex is a pultruded fiberglass-based material that is twice as strong as steel and eight times stronger than vinyl. Ultrex outlasts and outperforms virtually all other window or door materials, including vinyl and roll-form aluminum. A patented finishing process makes Ultrex resist spotting, scratching, streaking, fading, warping, corrosion and denting, resulting in far fewer callbacks for installers and requiring virtually no maintenance for homeowners.

Built entirely with Ultrex, and with its standard double-strength glass, the All Ultrex line of windows provides builders and homeowners with an especially strong and durable window that withstands the rigors of installation and use. A standard heavy-duty sash lock and keeper allows the window to be shipped locked, preventing shipping and job site damage and virtually eliminating call backs.

“Builders will appreciate several design advantages in these windows that make them easier to install,” Boyum said. “For instance, by using corner keys in the sash, head jamb and sill, All Ultrex windows stay more square and offer a more consistent seal against air and water than the typical welded corners of vinyl windows. Using corner keys in the sash also creates a cleaner and more attractive sash profile.”
