The Art and Science of Ultrex When Integrity Windows and Doors began using Ultrex in the early 1990s, it was a truly leading technology in the fenestration industry. Today, with more than a decade of experience using Ultrex, Integrity’s pultruded fiberglass windows and doors are held up as the industry standard worldwide for superior fit and finish and smooth, consistent finishing that can’t be matched. Ultrex is created through a sophisticated pultrusion process that has been artfully engineered to perfection. During the process, thin, strong glass fibers are saturated with a specially-compounded liquid thermoset resin, carefully formed, and then pulled through a heated die by powerful equipment. A fully-cured and solid composite exits the die and is cut with diamond-edged blades. After the pultrusion is complete, a highly-weatherable and durable finish is applied to the Ultrex substrate using a patented coating process. The end result is a highly-advanced fiberglass composite that is so strong, it’s trusted in applications like bridge construction and spacecraft design. Built to PerformUltrex enables Integrity Windows and Doors to deliver everything that builders, architects, remodelers and homeowners are searching for in a new window or door, including:
Ultrex outperforms and outlasts virtually all other window and door materials – including roll-form aluminum and vinyl. Unlike these materials, Ultrex resists spotting, scratching, streaking, marring, warping, corrosion and denting. The superior durability of Ultrex results in fewer callbacks – which leads to increased profitability for the building trade. Craftsmanship that Stands the Test of Time Integrity Windows and Doors combines the best high tech materials with the ultimate in craftsmanship. Wood-Ultrex products feature wood interiors, classically-detailed and milled to perfection. The wood interior can be painted or stained, or ordered with a factory-applied white interior finish to save time and labor on the job site. Integrity’s All-Ultrex windows’ superior fit and finish and sightlines provide building professionals with a classic looking window that will stand the test of time.
