Integrity Windows and Doors’ Wood-Ultrex Series combines a beautiful wood interior with an Ultrex exterior and includes a comprehensive family of window and door products, including: standard-sized casements, awnings, picture units, double hungs, gliders, bays/bows, round tops, sliding patio doors, sliding French doors, inswing French doors, as well as custom-size polygons in a variety of shapes.

Integrity’s new All Ultrex Series, introduced at the 2006 International Builder Show, will offer Single Hung operating and picture units, Polygon, and Transom windows in 2006 with a full line of window and door products to follow.

The Art and Science of Ultrex

When Integrity Windows and Doors began using Ultrex in the early 1990s, it was a truly leading technology in the fenestration industry. Today, with more than a decade of experience using Ultrex, Integrity’s pultruded fiberglass windows and doors are held up as the industry standard worldwide for superior fit and finish and smooth, consistent finishing that can’t be matched.

Ultrex is created through a sophisticated pultrusion process that has been artfully engineered to perfection. During the process, thin, strong glass fibers are saturated with a specially-compounded liquid thermoset resin, carefully formed, and then pulled through a heated die by powerful equipment. A fully-cured and solid composite exits the die and is cut with diamond-edged blades. After the pultrusion is complete, a highly-weatherable and durable finish is applied to the Ultrex substrate using a patented coating process. The end result is a highly-advanced fiberglass composite that is so strong, it’s trusted in applications like bridge construction and spacecraft design.
