Simonton Windows to Open Manufacturing Facility in Georgia

Simonton Windows, one of the nation’s leading window manufacturers, announced plans to open its eighth manufacturing facility in Lyons, Georgia. The 100,000 square foot facility will create 85 new jobs in the area—up to 150 new jobs in two to three years. The facility will be ready to begin production this fall.

Simonton President Rick Keup explained that there are three key issues the company considers in determining where to locate a new manufacturing facility: a geographic location that will support our customers and will provide space for future growth, nearby interstate access and an available, quality workforce. Lyons has all of these.

“The area offers a progressive, business-friendly environment that the community and its leaders have worked hard to cultivate. With nearby access to major interstate highways and an ample, quality workforce, Lyons was truly the location we were looking for to support our growth,” he said.

A new facility is necessary for the company to be able to meet long term production needs, and to stay ahead of the curve when anticipating future demand for its products. In addition, Simonton’s recent ‘best national overall vinyl windows’ rating is expected to contribute to the already high demand for Simonton products.

Simonton has built its business on a promise of high-quality products and services that are on-time and delivered complete within seven days, under normal business conditions.

“That promise to our customers is something we take very seriously,” Keup said. “Locating our new facility in Lyons, Georgia, will allow us to maintain our ability to deliver our products on-time and complete. It’s what we’ve built our business on.”
