Clear Glass Panel - The Brightest WindowsSome homeowners may just throw up their hands at all the replacement window choices on offer today, and ask: why can't I just have a window with a see-through clear glass panel? The answer is: you can of course if that's what you want. You'll probably however be told that it isn't what you want from a salesman as clear glass panels are the most affordable to buy. Without any of the fancy tints of other replacement glass it certainly makes things easier to choose. You will however, still have to select if you want a low-e coating or not for your new clear glass window. Also, choose if you want single or multiple pane glazing for better insulation. A decision will also be needed on the benefits of various frame materials as well. So you can't escape from all the choices! Letting The Sunshine InTransparent glass will not give you any added protection from UV (ultraviolet) penetration but on the other hand it lets in the most sunlight of any of the glass choices for windows. So this can bring better emotional uplift if you don't like the gloom. And if you're not a resident in a hot and very sunny climate, as most aren't, then all these tinted or reflective windows will not be the best glass to go for. Indeed you may well want more daylight getting through to the interior of your home, not less. This added sunshine will also help to keep things a bit warmer when it gets cold, through what is known as passive solar heating.
