Temporary partitions will be erected immediately inside to prevent wind, rain and dust from entering the building during the replacement of the windows. The new replacement windows are of aluminum with thermal break and fixed insulated glazing sashes. For added convenience and efficiency during cleaning, the windows open inwards. During the replacement process, windows will be modified to create a weather tight seal. These replacement windows systems come with a high performance warranty of 10 years on the glazing, product finish and hardware window components. The new window systems also have a 20-year warranty on the thermal barrier. The outcome of the window replacement exercise will be the installation of a top- notch insulation-providing window system, which is energy efficient and will help the taxpayer save billions of dollars per annum.
