The Replacement Basement Window – Not To Be Overlooked

The Freedom Window vinyl basement window is designed to be used by poured wall concrete contractors. The Freedom Vinyl basement window line is manufactured with all vinyl, making it more thermally efficient (heat loss prevention) than any steel basement window on the market. The all vinyl construction reduces heat flow from about 200 BTU's/hr with vinyl. Steel also rusts and requires painting and treatment, while vinyl windows will not need any maintenance because it is impervious rust. When it comes to wood basement windows, vinyl is comparable to wood in thermal efficiency, but wood will rot, while vinyl outlast the life of any wood product.

For over three decades, the GNPA program has recognized Wisconsin manufacturers who contribute to the state's economic growth through development, manufacturing and marketing of new and innovative products. This premier competition is sponsored annually by WSPE. Conceived by Wisconsin Engineers, the program was developed to focus on rapidly emerging technologies, recognize the contribution of engineers in new product development.

The Wisconsin GNPA became the driving force and model for the National New Product Award program sponsored by the National Society of Professional Engineers. State winners (chosen from four categories of companies - small, medium, large and mega) compete in the national program.
