ENERGY STAR® Partner
Since joining the ENERGY STAR program in 1999, Simonton Windows has worked to ensure that most of its products can be ordered to meet ENERGY STAR guidelines, which recognize energy efficiency in various consumer products.
ENERGY STAR, an independent U.S. government program establishing a standard set of guidelines to recognize the energy efficiency of a multitude of products, is used in the home building and remodeling industry to rate the energy efficiency of building products, including windows and patio doors.
ENERGY STAR guidelines for windows and doors assess the U-factor, the amount of heat transferred through a material, and the solar heat gain coefficient, the amount of heat from the sun that windows and doors allow into the home. Those guidelines are tailored to meet three specific climates throughout the U.S., offering consumers purchasing ENERGY STAR labeled products maximum energy efficiency no matter where they live.
