Replacement Window – New Windows Can Save You A Ton
Consumers faced with dozens of product decisions when building a new home can now rest easier. Simonton Windows® offers homeowners a complete selection of windows that are simple to maintain, durable and beautiful in the Simonton ProFinish® line of vinyl new construction windows.
The comprehensive product line features made-to-order Double Hung, Single Hung, Casement, Slider, Picture and Geometric-shaped windows to complement the style of any home. A wide selection of product options available in the Simonton ProFinish line --- including six styles of grids and a variety of different glass options --- make it possible for homeowners to customize their homes with top-quality windows. “Consumer trends show that people embrace low maintenance, high-quality products when building a new home,” says Cindy Dotson, engineering and product specialist for Simonton Windows. “The Simonton ProFinish line offers all the standard features homeowners like best, such as attractive exterior designs and durability … along with a variety of options that make it possible to customize windows to their exact needs.”
Savvy homeowners know what they want --- solidly constructed windows with high performance values and little chance of leaking. That’s exactly what they get with Simonton ProFinish windows. The fusion-welded frame and sash, made from premium extruded vinyl, will never peel, chalk or pit.
Double Hung Simonton ProFinish windows have a triple-chambered compound-cut sill that enhances the structural stability of the window. The 10-degree slope of the sill provides quick water drainage, even in driving rains. Sill dam weather-stripping protects the home from air and water infiltration while the attractive beveled exterior of the Double Hung window enhances the overall look of the home. Simonton ProFinish Single Hung windows boast many of the same features plus a Lap-Lok® meeting rail that provides a weather-resistant seal.
Consumers looking to incorporate casement windows in their new homes will appreciate the U-channel spacer design that provides Simonton ProFinish Casement windows with strong thermal performance. Combined with the window’s dual-glazed insulating glass, and the multi-chambered profile, the Simonton ProFinish Casement window is one of the most durable on the market today. Multi-point locking hardware secures the window at multiple points through one easy-to-use handle.
The Simonton ProFinish line also includes a variety of Picture, Slider and Geometric windows (in nine styles, including half-rounds, quarter-rounds, ovals, octagons, circles, triangles, eyebrows, trapezoids and gothics) to complete a home’s window package.
Custom window creations are a specialty of Simonton Windows. Homeowners can choose from interiors and exteriors of white or tan for their Simonton ProFinish windows, plus an assortment of six grid styles including white or tan Colonial Flat, white or tan Colonial Sculptured, brass Colonial and Shadow Bevel-cut glass.
“The between-the-glass grids really allows homeowners to personalize their window package,” says Dotson. “Another popular option is an upgrade to brass hardware --- especially when a homeowner selects the brass Colonial grids for their windows.”
Not as obvious to the design of the window, but just as important, is the glass that a homeowner chooses. Most Simonton ProFinish products have the option of double-strength, obscure, tempered, tinted (bronze or grey) and Low/E Argon-filled glass.
“Low E hard-coat and soft-coat Argon-filled glass is an option many homeowners choose to specify in their windows,” says Dotson. “This glass helps the window meet Energy Star® requirements in all areas of the country and makes the window more energy efficient. Homeowners find long-term value in specifying these glasses for their windows.”
