The lifetime warranty ensures the original owner of a single-family owner-occupied residence that JELD-WEN vinyl windows and patio doors will be free from defects in materials or workmanship as long as the original owner owns or occupies the residence. The warranty includes free replacement parts and skilled labor necessary to replace components of the window or door. Should the residence be sold or become occupied by anyone other than the original owner, the warranty is then ensured for up to ten years from the initial installation date.

Special coverage is offered on high-impact glass and special glazings, including custom leaded or decorative glass. On these products, the homeowner is covered for material defects and workmanship up to five years after initial installation. This warranty includes replacement parts and skilled labor necessary to replace components of the window or door. This same warranty is in effect on all commercial applications as well, covering defects in material or workmanship for up to 10 years.
