Vinyl Replacement Window – Pella Expands Product Offering

Pella Corporation today announced the availability of its new line of premium vinyl windows and doors, designed for new construction, remodeling, and replacement applications. ThermaStar by Pella vinyl windows and sliding patio doors are now being sold through the Pella® Design Center™ (PDC) at select Lowe’s stores.

“Pella is known as a quality company, producing outstanding window and door solutions,” said Elaine Sagers, Pella Corporation’s vice president of marketing. “The ThermaStar vinyl line compliments the range of quality products available from Pella, which includes our premium wood window and door offering, storm doors, entry systems, skylights and our new fiberglass composite windows and doors, called Pella® Impervia™,” Sagers said.

“With the addition of ThermaStar vinyl products to our family of brands, customers will have another affordable option, built with the same level of quality, delivering the outstanding energy-efficiency, hassle-free maintenance and overall value for which Pella is known,” said Mark Hinkie, president and chief operating officer of Pella’s Vinyl Window and Door Division, which manufactures the new line at division headquarters in Gettysburg, Pa., in Murray, Ky., and in Portland, Ore.

The Pella Design Center is a “store within a store” featured in select Lowe’s stores throughout the United States. The PDC offers storm doors, entry doors, along with 250, 450 and 850 series wood products providing a variety of types and styles of Pella-branded window and door solutions. The new ThermaStar vinyl product line is first being sold through the PDC in a growing number of select Lowe’s locations.

“The Pella Design Center is a very innovative concept in retail marketing that pairs two strong brands — Pella and Lowe’s — and in the process, takes the complexity out of window and door purchases for consumers,” said Sagers. The PDC features displays designed to guide shoppers through the window and door selection process, aided by trained Lowe’s associates, who also can arrange for installation of the customer’s new Pella windows and doors.

ThermaStar replacement windows are designed for easy installation. The replacement window unit slides into the existing sash “pocket” created when the old window sashes are removed. “In most cases, the surrounding trim, paint, wallpaper or siding is not disturbed, saving time and money. Perfect for the do-it-yourselfer who wants to replace a few or all of their windows themselves,” Hinkie said.

Additional features of ThermaStar by Pella vinyl windows and doors include:
